BANGOR, MICH. - A video showing a group of Bangor teachers and staff making inappropriate comments about students prompted a school secretary to resign.
The commentary, heard in a six-minute video posted Monday, Feb. 13, to YouTube, shows a group of adults sitting around a table at the Bangor Tavern Bar and Grill. Such comments from seven involved Bangor Public Schools faculty include ratings of who they'd have sex with, marry, or kill.

So teachers are not allowed to have opinions about students, or to have a private life.
This is going to spread as the digital age grows. Not sure how we handle it.
Trump’s willingness to fight political correctness can help.
Teachers should be able to make stupid private comments. This sort of thing has always been there.
It is just now being exposed by cheap and common recording devices.
Snowflakes. Who hasn’t said or made jokes that would probably get you fired if they were made public in today’s climate?
These are the embedded idiots you’re paying out of your hard earned money. These moronic school systems serve themselves, not us, that’s why it wasn’t addressed until it was revealed publicly.
Public school and their administrators are pretty much bastions of arrested development. As childish as the students.
“educators” doing what they do “for the children”. Parents: home school. Many educators are perverts, LIBs or complete idiots.
Although the conversation was a bit rough, all I see are some teachers swilling some beers and talking out their butts a bit.
Life was certainly easier before cameraphones and YouTube. 10 years ago, this would never have been an issue. Everyone present would have denied it and there’d have been no proof.
10 years ago, this would never have been an issue. Everyone present would have denied it and thered have been no proof.
And 40 years ago They would have said it right to faces of the snot nosed punks in class with the Parents Blessing
Wow. Parents should start rioting....
What you really need for this sort of this is a chat group on the internet where everyone uses anonymous nics...
..a kid draws a gun and gets suspended....these pervs get another round of beer
And yes this is the digital age cameras and recorders everywhere, and if nothing else these people have proved that they are to damn stupid to be teaching children, more to the point I find it disturbing that you are alright with adults talking about having sex with and killing children.
“So teachers are not allowed to have opinions about students, or to have a private life.”
At a public bar naming which students they would:
KILL
MARRY
HAVE SEX WITH
Really NOT appropriate.
“And 40 years ago They would have said it right to faces of the snot nosed punks in class with the Parents Blessing”
I don’t think it has ever been appropriate for a teacher to tell a student they wanted to have sex with them ...
It may be “ok” to do talk like this...but remember the old saw about what you say when no one is “supposedly” listening? Degradation of our culture continues.
The game is actually called “F**k, Marry, Kill” and I’m sure that the teachers were really most interested in discussing students who qualified (in their minds) for the first option.
So teachers are not allowed to have opinions about students, or to have a private life.
Certainly can. Just not if they want to have sex with a minor or if they would like to kill a child. Being stupid always has consequences!
I think you have nailed the main issue here. While I get what people are saying about the surveillance culture and political correctness, schools can’t be thought police to students and staff in certain areas, not allowing them to wear flags, not allowing teachers to show the inauguration of our President, etc., and then try to say something like this is no big deal. They can’t have it both ways.
These asinine, irresponsible morons are teaching YOUR kids?
Oi vehhhh!
I agree, I was speaking more in a generic sense, before we started coddling and excusing bad behavior it was common for teachers to keep students in line with light discipline.
