Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

The officials said the intercepted communications were not limited to Trump campaign officials, and included other associates of Mr. Trump. On the Russian side, the contacts also included members of the Russian government outside of the intelligence services, the officials said. All of the current and former officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the continuing investigation is classified.
The democrats and republicans both wanted Flynn gone because he is hard on islamic terror, hard on iran, and realistic about dealing with Russia not as an intractable foe but a strategic rival who nonetheless could be a partner in common causes such as fighting islamic terror
They hated the idea that he talked the Russians down from responding in kind or escalating in response to obamas last minute petulant pricks aka sanctions
The cia hated the fact that Flynn called them on creating and supporting ISIS when he resigned from the DIA
Remember the last minute bill or was it an EO passed by obama that authorized agencies collecting intelligence to share it with other agencies
So anyone monitoring or wiretapping could share with the seditious or subversive moles in any other agency

House Democrats on U.S. Policy Toward Russia House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD), House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff (D-CA), and House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Eliot Engel (D-NY) held a news conference on legislation to impose sanctions on Russia.
