It’s all theater. They need to look like they are doing something. No way will they tell people the mistakes are already done past and another big rain will doom to flood enormous tracts of land.
The evacuation order stands and was recently announced to be indefinite.
Makes one get the impression these people are the ones calling all the shots...including the decision not to repair infrastructure of this sort:
