Meetup is committed to bringing members together to form community and take action. Since the recent United States election, weve seen a dramatic increase in Meetup members pursuing and creating opportunities for civic engagement on our platform.
We decided that we wanted to do more to support these efforts so we created a network of 1,000 #Resist Meetup groups with a few special characteristics.
#Resist is a free extension of the Meetup platform that allows members to get involved in local civic action. Every member of a #Resist Meetup group can schedule and host Meetup events and has access to event templates and a new group communication tool that make connecting and Meeting up with other members easier than ever before. For more specifics on using those tools, check out this article.

Time to say goodbye.
Same here.
That reads like someone received an influx of cash to me.
Who is it that you were hoping to meet up with?
I reported them as Spam today.
Done playing games with these crazy people
Stay in, infiltrate, take hidden video of their meetups.... bust them like James O’Keefe!
So they are assisting people that wish to get together and “punch” my grandma.
On the contrary....might want to keep an eye on or even join...as a spy.
If they are facilitating the organizing of violence, the FBI should pay them a visit.
Or start #crushtheresistance meetups
Got one also. If I were young I would infiltrate a group. I guess the best I can do is dump them.
I’ve used MeetUp to connect to a number of groups.
Recently, it’s mainly been the Twin Cities .NET Users Group. They post their meeting invites on MeetUp.
But I’ll be telling them that they need to find another way to reach people.
I got it too. Disgusting.
Unsubscribed and deleted my MeetUp account earlier today. Bye, Felicia.
I found out we have a local chapter of Act! for America and a Patriots group on meetup.
A family member just posted on FB that she was unsubscribing too.
I hope they lose more than they gain but I kinda like the idea of going undercover................
No, it’s time to attend meetings. Be an enthusiastic member. Learn, listen, tape, get as many names as you can. And then when it’s time to betray them, you will leave them frightened to ever trust anyone else.
It will degrade them.
Also deleted my account immediately after seeing this email. I have no problem with a meetup user creating a group with this purpose, but when it is apparently corporate policy to oppose the POTUS and make the country less safe, then it’s time to leave.
I just got it. I am part of a group that pays meetup to advertise our group. Leader is on vacation but I am no longer going to take part in their insanity.
Just deleted my account.
