I have searched fkr a guy for months who had a listed warrant in a state wide database.

When I finally found and arrested him and he went to court. The judge realized the court had cleared his warrants but forgot to clear that one.

Thats filed under “not my fault...blame the court”

The in scene officer can only go by what they find in the computer database then the warrant is “verified” by the court by hand searching for the paper warrant.

If that occurs and it is “verifoed” no on scene officer can really know the court screwed up.

Now....in this case someone told the on scene guy an arrest warrant existed and they were wrong or lied.

On scene guy is not going to be in trouble but thise who passed on bad info should be.

Secondly: they are arguing “reasonable cause” to conduct the search, which might fly. It all depends on the judge, which sucks.
