“...even if she were a nobody living in McAllister, OK as a prison guard”.
Gee, even without such mega-incentives Id do my duty. Now, THAT’S entertainment. But then Im partial towards redheads.
She’s a seasoned professional, a great entertainer.
It’s refreshing to hear from people who understand their success.
I might go out and buy one of her best-ofs to thank her.
I like some musical artists but not necessarily their politics. REM had some good songs but one time on an MTV awards show Michael Stipe had a bunch of T shirts on with political slogans and took them off one by one. Their song Ignoreland showed hatred of the first Pres. Bush (”with throw-up on your shoes”). Whiny sappy people.
Shut up and sing, indeed.
I will say that recently I quoted a Beatles lyric on a Facebook thread about the electoral college. I pointed out we should keep it and it would be tough to get rid of. And: “You say you’ll change the Constitution well you know, we’d all like to change your head.” Oh OK, so that’s politics and music... How about a concert with a bunch of music instead of a 5 minute spoken word political rant ?
The dealer said he was just trying to get those things off the street.

Reba seems to be a quick study.
Then we have the example of the Dixie Chicks.

LOL
The thing is, Reba had no problem being a leftist the last 29 years. She did all the right things to be successful in those circles.
For instance, her short lived tv series glorified (or at least accepted and did not disapprove of) an out of wedlock pregnancy as a storyline.
The article references her getting on a bandwagon, which is apt. This is merely virtue signalling on hef part.
