BALTIMORE — In an escalation of Democratic efforts to highlight questions about President Trump’s potential conflicts of interest and alleged ties to Russia, a senior House Democrat is dusting off a little-used legislative tool to force a committee debate or floor vote on the issue.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) filed a “resolution of inquiry” Thursday, a relatively obscure parliamentary tactic used to force presidents and executive-branch agencies to share records with Congress. Under House practice, such a resolution must be debated and acted upon in committee or else it can be discharged to the House floor for consideration.

This is nuts. Trump is foregoing a salary. I have no doubt there are others in his cabinet and family doing the same.

All the profits from rental of Trump properties to foreigners is to be donated to the Treasury. Unused funds from the transition were returned to the Treasury.

What monetization? What greed? He is a multi-billionaire. His club in Palm Beach was the first to desegregate to both blacks and Jews. He has done nothing against homosexuals. He employs & promotes people of all types, faiths, colors. He is notoriously generous and charitable. He’s a workaholic with two vices: junk food and TV. He is fighting against a global cartel to make everyone in the USA prosperous and safe. He has kept every campaign promise and done more in the 3 1/2 months since winning the election than most Presidents do in a full term and done it despite epic opposition and obstruction. He has maintained a sense of humor while not losing his fighting spirit.

Anyone who hates all this is an enemy of humanity.

At most it may get an hour of debate.
Pretty lame.
