It’s not that bad. Freepers have a way blowing things out of proportion (I’m guilty of it too ;). The “social commentary” was maybe 5 minutes out of the whole thing and then it got back to the action. It’s an okay show so far.

Gerald as anybody’s mother is kind of a hard sell...lol
That's the thing. They could have replaced Cartwright with another actress--if Cartwright was the problem. But I think (can't confirm it though) that her Hillary-esque character had to be removed from the show entirely after Trump won the election, and her character rewritten to fit a straight male authority figure.
