Compare them with Sargeant Archie Moore in the South Pacific.
He was wounded twice by mortar fire, shot twice by snipers, and finally was wounded by a grenade. He was finally sent home with 5 purple hearts in August, 1945 just a week or so before the Japanese surrender.
His wife said he was too tough to die. He never talked about his service in WWII.

The same for former Marxist Senator Tom Harkin (D-IO) who was in the service during some of the Vietnam war. He came back to visit Con Son Island with Hanoinik Don Luce (UVS), Rep. Augustus Hawkins (D-CA), an admitted former member of the Communist Party USA and I belief Rep. John Anderson.
Their false stories about the conditions at Con Son Island (after LIFE magazine’s falling for the Luce fudged photos story), were exposed by Rep. Phil Crane (D-Ill)in a June or July, 1970 story in the conservative weekly “Human Events” with clarifying photos of the Luce con-job one.
You can automatically assume that if a Democrat politician opens their mouth and makes a claim about anything other than their birthdate (place, is another thing), they are lying or distorting something.
You know the old saying, “Never trust a man with his hand on your wallet”. Let’s add to that, “Never trust a Democrat with their mouth open”.
