My friend responded that Hollywood and the media used to understand what most Americans are really like, but that those groups have become so self-important that they have lost touch with American, which is why Trump won. I agreed, and I added that celebs and the media just can't accept that they are out of step with American values. Lady GaGa may be an exception. Whatever she actually believes, GaGa understood that it would have been a big blunder to have used her spot at the Super Bowl to bash Trump. Most lefties, however, just don't understand that: they are criticizing HER for not having criticized Trump during the Super Bowl!
