If, in fact, the president selected by a constitutional process is not your president, then it is not your Constitution.

Yes and no. I'm reminded of the Clinton years, when a lot of us—especially NRA members, of course—defiantly held up Charlton Heston as "our President" ... So, it's not like the "not my president" shtick is totally new.

I'm tempted to follow the money. Remember who was the greatest gun salesman in the history of our nation...even while states from coast to coast were passing concealed carry laws (redefining infringement, if not eliminating it). If sales haven't already started to suffer, they will as soon as any pro-2A legislation starts to come out of Washington, DC. And no doubt the NRA et. al. are seeing donations fall off; no doubt some in their hierarchy would welcome a return to the days of fear and uncertainty. Do they really want a national reciprocity law, let alone actual constitutional carry?

We often talk about the race merchants sabotaging MLK's "dream" and stoking the fires of racism to protect their cash flow. While I'd like to think the people on our side are more virtuous than that, I'm not so foolish as to assume it's true.

Regardless, I can imagine many left-wing causes are eager to cash in on their newfound victim status, much as our own did for the past eight years. Pefhaps they're behind some of the unrest happening on and around college campuses, while the silent majority watches from afar.

But, the leftists have to know that events such as the debacle at Berkeley will cause more and more of the silent majority to wake up and begin to take action. The fear merchants would be wise to put the brakes on that sh*t, lest they see their cash cow slaughtered for good.

An honest admission. I first heard it said about Bush II, then Obama, and now Trump. But this time it's gone off the charts.
