Why would we want to be at war with Russia? What threat do they pose to us?
I have thought about that given the across the spectrum meme that “ Putin is a thug” from every politician
My theory is that the U.S. military ( and the industry that depends on it) must have an enemy to justify its existence
The USG have evolved into a global power that needs an enemy to justify what we do and the scale on which we do if
Sounds like lefty theory but it’s starting to make sense given the absolute hostile irrationality of the establishment toward Trumps stated desire to develop a far different relationship with Russia as a rival and competitor but a state with its own national interests that must be analyzed and accepted as part of a mutual framework - not as an immoral murderous conniving foe
Even with a leader other than Putin who conveniently has been labeled as a gangster - Russia is not going to surrender its permanent national interests to what the globalists seem to want
They don't pose a threat to 'us'. They do pose a threat to all the corrupt/lying/cheating/child molesting politicians.
I was riffing off 1984, in which Oceania, when it ceased fighting Eurasia and started fighting Eastasia, would claim that we had always been at war with Eastasia.
