Trump: ObamaCare plan could take until next year

President Trump said Sunday that it could take “sometime into next year” until his ObamaCare replacement plan is ready, a slower timetable than he and other Republicans have put forward in the past.

Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly asked Trump in an interview before the Super Bowl if Americans can “expect a new healthcare plan rolled out by the Trump Administration this year.”

“Yes, in the process and maybe it’ll take till sometime into next year but we’re certainly going to be in the process,” Trump replied. “You have to remember Obamacare doesn’t work so we are putting in a wonderful plan,” he added.

“It statutorily takes a while to get. We’re going to be putting it in fairly soon, I think that yes I would like to say by the end of the year at least the rudiments but we should have something within the year and the following year.”

In contrast, last month, Trump said he would be putting forward a plan shortly after his nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), is approved by the Senate, a far faster timetable.

And as socialist/collectivist construct itself, insurance should be viewed as an evil (in some cases a semi-necessary evil) and minimized in scope as far as possible. Insurance is one of the few ostensibly private businesses that believes that acting like a government is a viable business model

“BS. What hasn’t been “fixed” is government programs. Government IS the problem.”

Dead on the money Ray, it is such a pity that cba123 insists on continuing in the fantasy that Obamacare can be fixed by replacing it with some superior version of government controlled healthcare. The truth is that NO government plan will ever work half as well as just getting the government the hell out of it! Government is not in the business of solving real problems, only in creating problems where none existed before. Those who believe otherwise are simply living in a fantasy.

“For instance, 100 bucks and up just to talk with a doctor for 10-15 min and be handed a prescription? Not good.”

Do you have a clue what CAUSED the current miserable situation? I am old enough to recall a time before medicare when we had very LITTLE government involvement and a person could walk into a doctor’s office as a stranger without an appointment, sit and wait for less time than you have to wait now if you arrive ON TIME for an appointment and be “worked in”, see a doctor and pay a whopping five dollars. Something even better would be available now if not for government interference over a span of decades, if it continues there will soon be no REAL health care for anyone except the super wealthy.
