Islamic State fighters have broken through government defensive lines in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor, surrounding a military airport and cutting off food supplies for roughly a quarter of a million civilians in what could become a major humanitarian disaster.
Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria is divided between the militants and the government of Bashar al-Assad. The areas controlled by the government have long been under siege but were sustained by supplies flown in to the nearby military airport and by airdrops from the World Food Programme.
But on Monday, Isis fighters, which sources from the city said were primarily reinforcements coming over the border from Iraqs Anbar province, broke through government lines, splitting its territory in half and taking control of the area where the WFPs airdrops landed.

This location can be a strangle point for food relief efforts.
Liberals say ISIS is no threat. We just need to let them have at it, displace millions of people, and import them here instead. It’s not a problem for anyone.
Aren’t these the same guys Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and Barack Obama supported?
Come on Donald. That’s your cue!
Good. This area has been unsecured for some time. Vlad the Impaler and Trumpinator can tag-team these barbarians.
How do A-10s not keep these peeps from moving between enclaves?
Sounds like a good, concentrated strafing target of opportunity...
They could, but are not deployed.
Which ones?
The Arab fighters currently employed in Raqqa? Yes.
The Kurds that are also fighting with them? No.
We have never armed the Kurds with anything larger than small arms. They have been the only force in Syria that has consistently kicked ISIS’s butt. Even their women kill them.
It is a question of will, natural instinct and being unified. The Kurds have it.
ISIS has heavy armor and shoulder launch weapons. And evil criminals fighting for them.
It is time to put the lights out on ISIS and the Al Qaeda affiliates there. (Nesura & al Sham)

Gift from Obama/Clinton.

I’ll bet there are a lot of US citizens who would pay to watch such a fight. Especially if you advertised it like you just did.
hee hee hee
If it would put out ISIS’s lights, I’d even kick in. They are evil baby butchering Islamist bastards. They are not human and deserve such treatment as you give a rattle snake.
At 96 my grandmother had a heart attack. Was told she could no longer live alone. My wife and I stayed with her every night and cooked her meals, handled her meds, and enjoyed gardening with her.
One afternoon she wanted to show me what she had done. I went outside with her and here was a dead rattle snake. She, as usual, chopped his head off with a hoe.
I was taught at a very early age how to deal with rattle snakes.
Yes, indeed.
And I have read that those same weapons were used to destroy 54 Turkish tanks near Al Bab. Sobering thought. Erdogan helped place those in the hand of those who did it. If Turkish citizens know the full extent of this before the next election, do you think he will win?
Someone needs to let the Russian air force know.
They can take what they can now, because I would bet in the next couple months there will be more bombers than targets in the airspace...
I’m sure they know. And a lot more.
Just caught this:

Coordinated effort working on their supply lines. Not coincidence.
If US and Russia cooperate on destruction of ISIS and al Qaeda Terrorists, you may be correct.
Obama was never going to act on either group. He cultivated them.
My thoughts exactly. At some point these ISIS fighters had to be moving over open ground, and could have been decimated by drones and a couple of A-10s.
