[Scott Adams] Berkeley and Hitler
Dilbert ^ | 2/3/17 | Scott Adams

Posted on 02/05/2017 8:48:19 AM PST by markomalley

Here’s the best article you are likely to read about the absurdity of calling ANY American president Hitler. This is the sort of persuasion (sprinkled with facts) that can dissolve some of the post-election cognitive dissonance that hangs like a dark cloud over the country. Share it liberally, so to speak. You might save lives.

Speaking of Hitler, I’m ending my support of UC Berkeley, where I got my MBA years ago. I have been a big supporter lately, with both my time and money, but that ends today. I wish them well, but I wouldn’t feel safe or welcome on the campus. A Berkeley professor made that clear to me recently. He seems smart, so I’ll take his word for it.

I’ve decided to side with the Jewish gay immigrant who has an African-American boyfriend, not the hypnotized zombie-boys in black masks who were clubbing people who hold different points of view. I feel that’s reasonable, but I know many will disagree, and possibly try to club me to death if I walk on campus.

Yesterday I asked my most liberal, Trump-hating friend if he ever figured out why Republicans have most of the Governorships, a majority in Congress, the White House, and soon the Supreme Court. He said, “There are no easy answers.”

I submit that there are easy answers. But for many Americans, cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias hide those easy answers behind Hitler hallucinations.

I’ll keep working on clearing the fog. Estimated completion date, December 2017. It’s a big job.

Scott Adams isn’t always on the right side of the issues, but he at least tries to consider the facts without being blinded by emotion. If he’s not welcome at Berkeley, then no rational person is. Defund Berkeley.

Scott Adams has become a true “reality warrior”.

The liberal playbook is very old and tattered.

The last Republican President NOT called Hitler was the one who defeated Hitler.

I bet a $100 that if you took just that Quote without any attribution, you could 80% of College Kids to sign their Name to it.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a Published List of the Majority of College Grads aligned with their Daddy Hitler?
Maybe Dateline or 20/20 could do an expose.

The Nazi movement had considerable support on college campuses, according to Albert Speer. Environmentalism was also big with students in 1930’s Germany.

Berkley's police were either told to stand down and allow the violence or they gave it tacit approval. In any event it was a total abrogation of authority that allowed a mob to run wild. A simple solution in the event of some other mob doing the same thing is to tell the cops to crack some skulls. The application of ‘’the wooden shampoo’’ is a great dissuader of violent mobs.

Where the enviro-wanker movement got it’s big start. Ergo: enviro-wankers are nazis. BOOM! ;-)

Sensational.

Kübler-Ross, for all her faults, was right about one thing - soooo many liberals are perpetually stuck somewhere in a grief cycle.

Adams is a hyper-intelligent, right thinking guy. He’s moderate in many many ways, but I’d support him for a political position over the vast majority of the GOP.

The American system ITSELF pretty much prevents “Hitlers” from showing up. And America ITSELF is anathema to what Hitler was trying to create. An American ANYTHING or ANYONE is hard to fit into the Hitler model.

Simplistic statement. Our country's openness and freedom can and does invite the wrong element. Anyone can google Yuri Bezmenov, a KGB defector. He gave an interview in 1984 to an American writer. There is a video as well as the text available online. Bezmenov describes perfectly the Soviet communists intent to infiltrate and subvert the main foundations of American life. While Soviet communism may not be the threat it once was to America, other evils have taken its place.

Allegiance to the ideals of Hitler and the Nazi Party isn't dead. Though no longer called by those names, it is alive and well.

My Dad, God Rest his Soul, like the articles author was very familiar with post war Europe. He was in the infirmary when his division shipped out to Normandy so perhaps I am here because of a severe stomach ulcer. When there was no division left for him to rejoin they sent him to France as an MP at a POW camp with 70,000 prisoners but my uncle said that he was a highly requested driver and spent most of his time transporting high ranking generals and important prisoners. My uncle said “You would recognize the name of everyone that rode in the back of your dad’s jeep” My dad didn’t talk much about the war but would never allow us to make Hitler comparisons or Polish jokes. He was always very kind to us kids but I could sense the fury well hidden behind his eyes dare I ever repeat something I heard in school.

We must stand up to these pathetic excuses for citizens and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. We must identify their leaders strip them of their wealth and purge them from our country. The hour is late and it is well past time for the return of Law and Order.

Ultimately, Hitler was an extrajudicial mass murdering nationalist. He killed the homosexual leaders of the socialist wing of his party in the early 1930’s.

Very good article by Regie Hamm. I'm glad Adams found it and I'm glad I read it. If you skimmed over the first line in this thread, do yourself a favor and go back and click on the link provided.
