“Look at the beautiful pant suit Ivanka wore to the inauguration. It was very feminine”
Melania was orders of magnitude more so.
Damned. Obama had women dress like men, and men dress like women. Just look at Hillary, Anita Dunn, Michelle and Harry Reid.
THen you had Secy of the Navy Ray Mabus, aka the Secretary of the Queens’ Navy, and a couple of White House and military spokesthings were questionable.
And Obama’s pathetic baseball throwing efforts call into question a lot of transgendered concepts.
And make me a sandwich.
In which case, he should have also told the men to dress like men. Except yeah, who says that? And you can’t really say either to the modern workforce. To dress “professionally” is more like it. A small thing, but something that changed in the office environment in the ‘70s and kind of plays into the stereotype that the former beauty pageant owner is well behind the times on this stuff.
I’ve been to the White House several times on business, and (other than journalists and tourists, and perhaps under Barack Hussein Obama) every one there dresses neatly and professionally. The author is creating a story out of nothing.
Hillary won’t be sneaking in for a job. All she seems to have are pantsuits in the closet.
Reagan always had a suit and tie on in the Oval Office. Clinton was the first to wear running warmups into the office. Obama had the nerve to put his feet up on our desk. It all boils down to respect for the Office of the President and ultimately, the American people.
When I ran bank branches and lending units I always told my people this: “clean and neat, and look like you belong here.” This is the same.
Well there’s the CEO coming out in him
Don’t like the company dress code, don’t work for the company
At least in executive management
Hitler had a neat and orderly mustache. How could I have missed that?
Fake news. I am not one that likes to use that term all the time, but this just reads that way. I can imagine he wants his staff to look presentable, but I don’t buy the rest of this.
And no flip flops!
Trump does not need to take his suit jacket off and roll up his shirt sleeves to give the impression he is working...
I know of a Fortune 250 company that had to send out a memo, instructing employees on professional dress. Thongs were mentioned. I can’t believe professionals have to be instructed on this stuff.
And a note to the enemedia: Just because hooker chic is de rigeur amongst some of your set, don’t assume that’s the case outside your world. Or God help you if you ever need to find real work.
I’m so happy he wants staff to dress respectfully when representing the White House.
Don’t know if it’s true, but had read he wasn’t happy with Spicer’s suits and his general appearance. The next day at the press conference Sean was wearing a well-fitting dark suit and was sporting a spiffed-up haircut.
I’m so glad DJT is expecting the best from his people in every way.
He probably doesn’t hate pantsuits. I think Melania was wearing a white pantsuit on Election Night.
Bannon looked pretty sharp for the Inauguration in a suit and tie.
I am female. I have seen female presstitutes dressed in such an unprofessional fashion, had I been the boss, they’d’ve been told to change. Hint: If you can’t bend over w/out flashing either end, or you have to glue your knees together when sitting to avoid a money shot, you are dressed inappropriately FOR WORK!
Aaaaargh.
