The Army is in Poland to support one of our strongest allies in Europe. Poland does not share a border with Russia proper, although the tiny Kaliningrad enclave adjoins it. I support the Army and the troops on their mission.
It is also worth noting that Poland is one of the few NATO countries that devotes at least 2% of GNP to defense, as required by NATO agreements, along with a couple of the Balts. Another sign of their strong ally in NATO status.
