I don’t like the idea of vouchers. It’s a back door for the fedgov to enter private and parochial schools. Charters are the only way to go. They are public schools.

My three grand kids WENT to a charter school. Christmas was never recognized. Not even Jingle Bells at the "Winter Celebration" pageant.
Be careful what you wish for.
Vouchers are nothing more than our tax money being spent as we see fit as parents educating our children. Nothing more. Anything tied to vouchers (read our tax money) should not be tolerated. The government is not doing us any favors, we are doing them a favor by lessening the burden on the public schools and budgets.
