Helping a country fight against a terrorist aggressor is a good thing, especially in this case when they are willing to fight their own fight.
So why didn’t MCCAIN advise PRESIDENT TRUMP in private instead of forwarding his letter to the world?

Obama not giving Pakistan permission to sell Ukraine the TOW-2 missiles would not have put American troops in danger. Yet he denied it and sacked Gen. Breedlove, who set this deal up.
I think it was all because he wanted to keep his peace-President image as he was willing to supply Ukraine with counter battery radars, but drew a firm line to anything that goes BANG!
With the crap McCain has been pulling with the Aussie ambassador and other statements, Trump should just ignore him. There is only one president and McCain had his chance but he didn’t fight. Now he is trying to be relevant by once again playing to the media who loves him when he is a maverick. McCain needs to just shut up as does his little a— dog, Graham.

What I meant was that Gen. Breedlove set up a deal where Pakistan would have traded their TOW-2 missiles for Ukrainian APC-s and that was the time when Ukraine desperately needed anti-tank missiles, but Obama said no.
Ukraine has a defense industry of nearly equal technology as Russia.
Hell no, we will not send them any “lethal defensive arms”.
Whatever is happening there, whatever the truth, it’s between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump should simply tell Russia, whatever happens in Ukraine is not our business.

But why did Obama forbid Pakistan from trading the TOW-2’s they have for Ukrainian made APC-s?
Ukraine needed missiles and had too many APC-s. No American money and no American troops needed ... just a permission from Obama, that he didn’t give.
“Let” Ukraine arm itself? Precisely how have we NOT let Ukraine arm itself?
Because it would be a provocation to two emerging allies, India and Russia.
It is such a small thing for India and Pakistan needs APC-s for controlling terrorism in their north. Russia of course might feel provoked if Ukraine has weapons to defend itself, but so what. They’re not the ruler of the world and do plenty of provoking themselves like funding the anti-fracking propaganda. Ukraine had over thousand troops in Iraq so doing a little thing like allowing Pakistan to sell them TOW-2’s is not out of order.
So why don’t you tell your Russian friends to GTFO?
