Almost half of Brits believe Donald J. Trump’s state visit to the UK should go ahead, significantly more than those who think the Queen should not welcome the U.S. president. According to a YouGov poll, 49 per cent of Brits want the planned visit to happen, compared to just 29 per cent who wish to see it cancelled. Fifteen per cent did not know.

Despite being in a clear minority, opponents of Mr. Trump’s official visit have generated significant media coverage after nearly 1.7 million of them signed a petition against the trip and numerous anti-Trump protests were held across the UK.

The petition, on Parliament’s official website, prompted MPs to respond quickly, promising to debate the matter on the 20th of February. The prime minister, however, has already confirmed the visit will go ahead despite opposition.

Funny how the left and the MSM keep holding up the petition (1.5 million) to keep Trump out of the UK as some sort of mandate for the government to act and ban him.

yet regarding the Uk referendum (17.4 millio) they just see that as advisory and should be ignored by Parliament

Let’s see if I have this right. A majority of Brits voted to escape from the EU, leaving them by themselves due to open borders and burdensome and counter-productive regulations from Brussels. And now we are to believe that a majority of Brits do not want a tight relationship with the US, because President Trump and a majority of Americans are against open borders and burdensome and counter-productive regulations from Washington?

I am so sick of commie’s inability to think and reason - only feel and completely out of touch with reality.

Who cares whether he gets a state visit or not? I’m so tired of British hysteria.
