Yes, but the article said “religious Jews,” by which I think they meant Jews to whom the religious element of Judaism is very important. Reform Jews, I am informed, are hardly observant at all.

You obviously don't know much Jewish history. No, most Jews, living in Germany, weren't Orthodox, in the 1930s. Reform Judaism goes back to the early-mid 18th century.
There's also Conservative Judaism, the extreme, beyond Orthodox Hasidim, and by the 1920s ( if not earlier ), the secular Jews, who weren't practicing Jews at all, but whom Hitler was more than happy to cart of and kill anyway.
Before you post about Jews, again, might I suggest that you study up some on them. ;^)

A Jewish friend of mine says that an “actual Jew” ie anyone who was born to a woman who is Jewish. That that make them a Jew by definition. I have a good male friend who is married to a non-Jew. His children were denied entry into a program that sends “Jewish Children” to Israel to study. FWIW.

I was speaking about the Jews needing to get out of Nazi-occupied Europe or they would be killed. Most were. Hey Michael Wilner, Justice Scalia died Feb. 13 of last year, that would make it less than a year ago. Can’t even get the simple things right.
