Have people submitted proof of citizenship when they registered
to vote or have they not?

*************

Does any state require proof of citizenship or do they all
just asked if you are a citizen? Do you know of any?

I do not know if there are any states that require “proof of citizenship”.

I suspect all the states assume people are honorable and will not register if they are not a citizen.

Maybe 100 years ago the honor system was ok as the Registrar of Voters personally knew everyone in their county or knew people who knew a person was a citizen or not.

The geographic size of our counties has not changed in the past 100 years, but the population of our counties has increased much.
