In a private meeting with congressional Republicans this week, Vice President Pence vowed that the Trump administration would pursue a wide-ranging probe of voting rolls in the United States to examine whether millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 election as President Trump has charged.
“What I can tell you is that I would anticipate that the administration is going to initiate a full evaluation of voting rolls in the country, the overall integrity of our voting system in the wake of this past election,” Pence told Republican lawmakers during a question-and-answer session at their annual policy retreat in Philadelphia this week.
The vice president’s comments, captured in a recording obtained by The Washington Post, give the clearest indication yet of how the Trump administration intends to investigate whether 3 million to 5 million people voted illegally in the 2016 general election, an unsupported claim Trump has made. In the recording, Pence invoked a study that Trump has falsely claimed shows widespread voter fraud. “Just because so many Americans share the concern that you have, I have, the president certainly has about people being registered in multiple states,” Pence added. “You can anticipate that we will be looking for ways to work with you, to simply dig into it, to follow the facts, to see where the facts go. That one-person, one-vote principle is at the very heart of this republic and our democratic institutions, and it must be defended.”
Pence was responding to a question from Rep. Mo Brooks (Ala.), who complained about what he said were his own experiences with voter fraud in his district. Brooks offered to help Trump investigate such claims from his perch in Congress, saying, “I pledge to support you in any way I can.”

Yay! Hip Hip Hooray! God be praised! Thank you Vice President Pence and President Trump! Do it for the Republicans in Pennsylvania who have lived under the tyranny of Philadelphia voter fraud for ages!
You want short, sweet, and to the point, do the following:
Pass a law requiring the Social Security Administration to send a roster of all living citizens, age 18 or older as of election day, to each voting precinct in the United States, composed of those individuals showing permanent addresses in the precinct.
Then do away with registration completely. Send the roster to the precinct leader (mayor, town chairman, etc.) and to the head of each party (GOP, Dem, Green, Libertarian, etc.) with a name on the ballot and use it instead of the current registration morass.
Social Security knows your permanent address, your age, whether you’re alive yet (mostly), and whether you’re a citizen or not. The roster will contain only eligible voters.
No dead voters. No voters registered in two or more precincts. No illegal alien voters. No legal resident, but non-citizen voters. Just require a photo ID to verify you are the person on the roster and live at that address, and voter fraud will be (mostly) eradicated.
(You still have the problem of Dems running multiple ballots, but lifetime prison sentences should curtail that practice.)

Voter registration fraud is the most under-reported problem in our political system
Yes, I've seen the RATs continuously oppose any efforts at election reform, and blatantly promote voter and election fraud...."Vote early and often".
I would disagree that it is unsupported.
There is a huge amount of circumstantial evidence, and many individual instances that have never been proven false.
Additionally, anyone who works in an industry where estimates, based on limited information, are both common and surprisingly accurate, can make the same estimate that Trump has made.
I hope they don’t just look at fraudulent votes.
I suspect that a high percentage of election fraud takes place AFTER the votes have been cast.
Fraudulent vote-counting may be an even bigger problem than fraudulent voting.

Another possibility is that it was intentionally leaked as a trial balloon in order to see which way the insects scatter. I for one am glad to see this in the press.

It should have been a top priority issue after the Florida shenanigans in 2000. This was obvious to anyone barely paying attention. Yet another of Dubya’s failures, up there with not responding to Leftists’ verbal attacks.
