“This crap lands at the feet of the Republicans in the Senate! Do nothing indeed”

If Harry Reid was in McConnell’s shoes as leader of the Senate, his party’s president’s nominees would have been approved by now. He would use every trick and maneuver in the book as well as some he made up along the way. Plus he would have been on television every night disparaging his opposition.

I remember when the Republicans said, give us a majority in the House and we’ll block the Obama agenda. In 2010 the American people gave them the majority and they caved.

In 2014 the GOP said give us a majority in the Senate, in addition to a majority in the House, and we’ll block the Obama agenda. The American people gave them a majority in both houses. They caved.

In 2016 the GOP said give us both houses of Congress, and the presidency, we’ll advance the conservative agenda. The American people gave them what they asked for the and Republicans in the legislative branch immediately joined with the Democrats to pull the rug from under the GOP president.

Question, is the GOP deserving of being the ruling party?

Trump, ultimately, is the head of the Republican Party. He needs to slap them into shape.

OF COURSE, the GOP is undeserving, but they are what we have — we must find ways to move this sluggish beast forward.
