Police later said one of them was just a witness, though they did not say which.

Which means Alexandre Bissonnette was the witness and Mohamed el Khadir was the shooter. Otherwise, we'd have been told immediately.

Fox News claims it’s Bissonnette, although they are using stuff from the AP too. Don’t know if they will retract or correct later.

The governments of Canada and Quebec are playing this out for every last moment of virtue signalling, there is almost no indication on Canadian media that this could even potentially be sectarian violence but at the same time, the lack of low-hanging fruit declarations makes many of us suspicious that this is already known.

Thus we seem to have a highly managed and delayed transmission of actual facts, designed to create as much narrative-friendly response as possible before actual facts are allowed to stand for themselves.

Bissonnette called the police and turned himself in. That is not the typical action of a mass shooter.
