Christian Leaders Denounce Trump’s Plan to Favor Christian Immigrants
New York Slimes ^ | JAN. 29, 2017 | LAURIE GOODSTEINJAN

I don't want to quote the Slimes, in part because of excerpt rules but also because it's just fake news. Click the link if you must but wash up afterwards.

In the linked article, every single "Christian Leader" is nothing more than a paid "refugee" resettlement contractor. They make lots of money by bringing in immigrants.

The government funded United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, who received almost eighty million tax dollars in 2014.

Church World Service, who according to Charity watch receives over 50% of their funding from the government.

Finally, they cite World Relief which is also listed as a government refugee contractor by

They are assuring us that Obama didn’t discriminate against Mideast Christians too. Liars all.

You can excerpt them briefly FWICS; some may accuse you of clickbait if you don’t. Everyone here knows it’s fake news besides.

When a sadistic religion attacks a masochistic religion prayer won’t help much.

So-called Christians don’t want to help persecuted Christians?

So much for standing beside Christian brethren in need.

I see your point about clickbait so here's an actual excerpt:

"But if Mr. Trump had hoped for Christian leaders to break out in cheers, that is, for the most part, not what he has heard so far. A broad array of clergy members has strongly denounced Mr. Trump’s order as discriminatory, misguided and inhumane. Outrage has also come from some of the evangelical, Roman Catholic and mainline Protestant leaders who represent the churches most active in trying to aid persecuted Christians."

It did make me throw up a little to have to go back there though. Still, if it saves other FReepers from having to go there, it's worth it. I'll take one for the team.

That’s odd...I don’t recognize any of the names (save Franklin Graham) from the article as Christian leaders.

Haven’t even heard of most of them.

An obvious lie on their part, especially when they use weasel language like “broad array” and the overused “some”.

From the article, Jim Jacobson & Franklin Graham support President Trump’s EO.

What the hell happened to that separation of church and state thingy? This is establishment of a religion. It is unconstitutional.

We need to enforce separation of church and state. No more funding to these non profits, and not just Planned aparenthood.
