Speaking of McCain.....like many of us, I never did much like the guy.
Although I do sleep better at night now that he got that campaign finance reform bill passed.
Anybody remember that mess? As if all of America was desperate for a campaign reform bill but it was all about the establishment wasn’t it?
I have learned so much about McCain these past few weeks and first, I learned that McCain is the Republican John Kerry.
He was NEVER any kind of war hero. His father was a bigwig in the navy but McCain couldn’t properly fly a plane so he landed in enemy territory.
I am to understand he was NEVER tortured and never spent time in a Hanoi prison.
He lied and changed events, much like Kerry.
And somehow McCain teetered up to some kind of leadership in the Republican but mostly he did it by pushing the military vendors and working with the Democrats.
I never liked him before and that campaign finance reform was his nothing-burger entry into the presidency race.
Frankly I am glad this jerk didn’t win. How would he have been much different than Obama?
McCain’s grand father started out in the “Great White Fleet” days and was an Admiral in WWII, and McCain’s father was an Admiral—CINCPAC—during Vietnam.

McCain was definitely tortured by the Viet Cong. As a result, he can’t lift his arms above his head. He could have been released early from captivity because of his pedigree but he refused to accept special treatment. I proudly voted for him in 2008 when he ran for President. May I suggest, friends, we lay off his past and focus on how he is failing to support the current Republican President. Reince Pribus was once a foe of Trump and now he’s a friend. The Republicans have got to pull together at this point.
