What? No meeting rooms available in the senate or house buildings? They have to go “off campus”? Does that make them feel more important? Anyway, my only comment I can come up with is the use of the word “snuck” in their. report. I think “sneaked” is more grammatically acceptable.

bigspender, that was my thought days ago when I heard about this retreat. These people see each other every day in DC. Why do they have to waste time and money trekking up to Philly, dragging the Pres and VP up there, at who knows what cost of planes, security, etc. Why not meet at one of the many venues in DC? Total waste of money. They aren't really thinking about the tax payer yet!

The retreat is sponsored by a non-profit called the ‘Congressional Institute’. It is funded and run by lobbyists. It’s another cover for bribery.
