Malcolm X’s daughter and granddaughter were busted this week on animal cruelty charges, when injured pooches subjected to “inhumane conditions” were found inside a stolen U-Haul truck they were driving.
Malikah Shabazz and her daughter Bettih Shabazz, 19, were arrested Wednesday night in a parking lot of a La Plata, Maryland, Wal-Mart, cops said.
Seven injured pit bulls were found inside stacked crates in the back of the rental truck, cops said.
The truck was reported stolen earlier in the day to Vermont state police.
The women were charged with seven counts of animal cruelty and vehicle theft and released on $2,000 bond.
Malikah, 51, the youngest of six daughters of the late civil rights activist, pleaded guilty in 2011 to identity theft charges and racking up more than $55,000 in someone else’s name.
The victim, Khaula Bakr, was the widow of one of Malcolm X’s bodyguards.
Malikah was sentenced to probation in that case.

Did you see the pictures of these 2 byproducts of misguided lust? They are so freakin’ UGLY, it should be prohibited to post pictures of them. They look like they were dragged face down with their feet chained to a semi for a few hundred miles. And they have brains to match. Let them be treated the same way they treated those poor dogs. Starving them might actually improve their looks.
Not that it matters in a family of criminals, but Makila, the mom (51) looks way better than her daughter Bettir (19).
Her daughter is already very obese, wears dirty looking dredlocks, has bad skin and generally looks unhealthy.
Looks like someone who has given up on themselves.
I am convinced that when ever you hear a pit bull owner say he just snapped no warning that you are probably talking to an owner who has in the past abused there dog. my experience with dog owners are that if you have a mean dog in most cases you have an owner who is abusive to there dog whether it be a pit bull or a beagle.

Agree. I’ll be the first to admit that bully breeds are guard dogs, not watch dogs. They require an alpha, loving master.
