Bought two YUGE chicken breast on sale: stewed in crockpot
From that came roast chicken, chicken salad, chicken and noodles, chicken pot pie and cream of chicken soup. The two-dollar-plus-chicken did very well But don’t think I will buy chicken this week. Will visit rural butcher and pick up fresh beef and pork. Mmmmm
That’s the way to do it! We have a crockpot too. It’s very handy. Chili is often on our menu in winter and almost everything goes into that recipe, including green peppers, chunky peanut butter, almost any meat leftovers and cacao!
The most versatile meat has to be chicken, though. It’s not expensive, either.
