President Donald Trump is plagued by insecurities about his coverage in the media, aides who were not authorized to speak to the press revealed to The Associated Press anonymously. Trump's aides think they have a solution, though: Get the president to watch less TV.
It's easier said than done:
After relishing in Friday's inaugural festivities, the new president grew increasingly upset the next day by what he felt was "biased" media coverage of women's marches across the globe protesting his election, according to a person familiar with his thinking. Trump was particularly enraged with CNN, which he thought was "gloating" by continually running photos of the women's march alongside the smaller crowds that attended his inauguration the day before, according to this person, one of several White House aides and associates who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about private conversations. Trump frequently responds to cable news coverage using his Twitter account, and he makes a point of calling or texting show hosts to react. "Most mornings, Trump flicks on the TV and watches Morning Joe, often for long periods of time, sometimes interrupted with texts to the hosts or panelists," Axios reported Tuesday.
And for the ex-reality TV star, the obsession is hard to curb:
Underscoring Trump's habit of stoking rivalries among his staff, he has told people he wants his counselor Kellyanne Conway to be on television more. He cheered her use of the phrase "alternative facts" in a recent interview as a way to counteract what he believes is the media's inherent bias.
Those around Trump are trying to get the cable news consumer-in-chief to be near a television less often, according to one person who has spoken with him.
Ha - excellent! He’d be more than welcome...
Because everyone knows that a week is long enough to wait before undermining an historic election.

The shear amount of work he has accomplished in this week appears to be pretty solid evidence that refutes the premise of this fake news
They're trying to get their audience of cup drooling morons back. ((Convince them Trump is watching))☺
Right....
This Fake News is reaching epidemic proportions. We must be winning.
I swear I don’t know how he finds five minutes for TV, as busy as he is. Da man is a machine !!!!!
Re: running ones mouth to the AP
Yep, and watch and see who gets booted when.
If nobody gets sacked within a few days, then it’s one media guy or gal starting a rumor and another media guy or gal picking it up and running with it.
Question:
How do they know how much TV he watches?
I call BS on this story...
Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business
I agree.
The first sentence says it all, and that is that nothing in the article is worth reading since it isn’t factual but based on “anonymous sources”.
“aides who were not authorized to speak to the press revealed to The Associated Press anonymously.”
Anytime I read this, I know the story is an out-and-out lie by the leftist propaganda network. I trust President Trump, and I’m confident he recognizes and hires only the best people - that is, NOT people who WOULD go behind his back to spread negative stories about his administration to the leftist press.
I’m sure this is fake news. I don’t believe for a minute anyone even near to knowing anything about President Trump would speak in secret to news media. He’s keeping his people so busy I doubt they have time for a potty break very often. I am loving it all very much.

Whoduthunk....
My wife and I were cracking up when the media did its photo op with Trump on Air Force One and the familiar jingle of Empire commercial was blaring in the background. LOL! Only Trump.
What a pant load. He has accomplished more in his first week than any other president in history.
I worked with the SS on one of Bush 41’s summits. That man wasn’t a great president but he was a machine. I had his schedule and he slept 2-3 hours a night. Every other minute was scheduled out - all day and all night - with almost zero personal time. I was super fit and in my early 30’s and had doubts I could have kept up with him.
To accomplish all Trump has already - he is running the same kind of schedule. Thank you DJT.
Fake news from a fake news source.
If his advisers ain’t thrilled, there’s something wrong with them - don’t believe a word of it.
If there is anything he needs to know he can just ask them or get it from the State Department.
/sarcasm off
