There's a difference between pursing power for its own sake for the purpose of pleasing one's own tastes or even for the purpose of transgressing the eternal law of God, which is what the left does—and participating in an elective process in the hope that common people will be freed or empowered because the system they are voting for aligns with "Nature and Nature's God", to quote our Founding, which is what we trust was done this time.
