More than 400 migrants who entered Germany as asylum seekers in 2015 and 2016 are being investigated for links to Islamic terrorism, according to the Federal Criminal Police.
The German experience with jihadists posing as migrants serves as a case study on errors for other countries to avoid. German authorities allowed hundreds of thousands of migrants, many lacking documentation, to enter Germany without a security check. German authorities admitted they lost track of some 130,000 migrants who entered the country in 2015.
German authorities knew in early 2015 that Walid Salihi, an 18-year-old Syrian who applied for asylum in Germany in 2014, was recruiting for the Islamic State at his asylum shelter in Recklinghausen, but they did nothing.
Anis Amri, the Tunisian jihadist who attacked the Christmas market in Berlin, used at least 14 different identities, which he used to obtain social welfare benefits under different names in different municipalities.
"We have probably forgotten to take into account what political opponents such as the Islamic State are capable of doing and how they think." Rudolf van Hüllen, political scientist.
German political leaders and national security officials knew that Islamic State jihadists were entering Europe disguised as migrants but repeatedly downplayed the threat, apparently to avoid fueling anti-immigration sentiments, according to an exposé by German public television.
German officials knew as early as March 2015 some six months before Chancellor Angela Merkel opened German borders to more than a million migrants from the Muslim world that jihadists were posing as refugees, according to the Munich Report (Report München), an investigative journalism program broadcast by ARD public television on January 17.

“An army of thugs to crush dissent? Damn! That could have been me! Sigh.”
Why do they think they are being kind to take people out of their world and put them into a culture totally foreign to them? In addition to allowing jihadist into the country, they take people who do not want to assimilate, put them into an environment so totally opposed to their own. That is not kind, it is cruel
When will the good people in Germany revolt?
These two should occupy the same cell.
It is not unkind to put people into a totally foreign culture if it's way better than the craphole they came from. One of my good friends and his mother got of the Soviet Union in the mid 70s and eventually found their way to NYC which was pretty foreign to them in many ways, but a whole lot better than the USSR.
But they thrived because they wanted to assimilate. They learned the language and embraced the freedoms they earned by coming here. In fact, they beat me up more than once to get it through my then-liberal skull that we and the Soviets weren't just two sides of the same coin with bad old men as leaders who caused all the problems. Mama told me flat out, "They're gangsters!"
So you can take people out of their native environments and into yours just as it's been done over hundreds of years in various countries, most notably here in the United States. What you cannot do is assimilate those who do not want to assimilate whether they are refugees from East Crapistan or Latin America. A lot of our mess comes from, where else, the 60s, when we were told it is cruel to make people speak our language. I believe having bilingual everything paved a lot of the we must accept refugees and illegal immigrants road to hell we're on.
they are too busy being too proud..
I have an office in Germany..lengerich..most of my colleages started thinking it was good to have more labor.. then they saw the barbarity, and said this might not be good, but their national pride , as in Germans do not make mistakes comes in..lol..we saw this before eh..
they must kick these guys out..
your friends were not forced to come here. Although the language is different the culture is not that different.
What happens when the war is over? The people who could rebuild the country have been scattered to the four winds.
In a way they were forced to come here because of how bad the USSR was which is the case when someone is a refugee rather than an immigrant. You can be an assimilated refugee who embraces the new country or a non-assimilated refugee who stays to the old ways but respects the new country, but you cannot be a non-assimilated refugee, or immigrant for that matter, who demands that the old ways become the new ways and trash the new country.
And “pride goeth before a fall.” Hope they wake up.
Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum.
Hitler liked Muslims in his SS , too.
