Caroline Kennedy lost her Ambassador post in Japan when Trump took office. He sent her packing and hasn’t even bothered to name a replacement.
But according to the New York Post, she’s not done with public service. Kennedy is planning to run for the U.S. senate in 2018.
First, she’s going to be penning a memoir, but then she’ll be getting down to work. She plans to follow in the footsteps of her uncle Robert Kennedy, and run for a New York senate seat.
She plans to target the seat of Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand. Or she could run for Rep. Kristen Gillibrand’s House seat instead.
This is great news for progressives. Caroline Kennedy has the Kennedy name and recognition, but none of the baggage.

Kennedy has a net worth...Kennedy trust funds.
She has much of the popularity of Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton among Progressives, but no baggage. So securing campaign donations won’t be a problem.
But her aspirations don’t end there. According to an unnamed source, “Caroline had a successful ambassadorial run in Japan and feels really very confident about putting her hat in the ring for a New York congressional or Senate seat, with even possibly bigger political objectives down the road”
“Down the road” could include a run for president in 2020. She would be a strong candidate to run against the Republicans.

Yep. Incredibly unimpressive and even if she arm twists a sitting Democrat woman enough to muscle her out of the race that won’t be appreciated.
People are still sick of the family dynasty thing. If, presuming, she has Schumer’s blessing, that likely won’t make the other Democrat senators very happy.
But Caroline has developed a hideous attitude of entitlement and last I knew she couldn’t string two sentences together. I wonder if the GOP could find a NY-friendly opponent to run against her for an improbable win.

Oh, she can get die hard Democrats to support her for anything, but the idea that she will be a powerful candidate against Trump for POTUS is simply ludicrous.
Let the Democrats and her fantasize, though. It is nice to see them waste their money, time, and energies on such fruitless pursuits.

Zero Hedge's article about Warren's weakness and 680am WRKO's Jeff Kuhner out of Boston has been noting her unlike-ability and getting the faithful ready waiting for an "R" to run for the seat. Curt Schilling has strongly hinted he will run...
Schumer is probably grooming his fat, dumpy blonde moonbat cousin Amy (the so-called “comedian”) that’s always talking about her drunken and grotesque sex behaviors. She’d make a perfect Senator in the tradition of all the great Democrats.

You can’t run for the White House from the House of Representatives. Many have tried. Has it ever been done?
Freshmen Congresscritters are a dime a dozen. Nobody takes them seriously, even if they are named Kennedy.
Camelot was a long time ago. By 2020, the youngest person who voted for JFK will be eighty-one.
On the other hand, I think having Caroline Kennedy cannibalizing the shrinking Democrat minority in the Senate is a helluva good idea. She should be very popular in New York.

Perhaps what the whole article means is that she’d make an ideal sacrificial lamb for 2020, when Donald will likely skate to reelection against anyone but George Washington, and nobody will feel her “potential” was wasted. They did the same with Lurch in 2004.
She also had a hard time answering the question, “Why are you running?”
