My Chev doesn’t sit that low. I put a four inch lift in for the rough roads I drive down in the patch.

That is one of the things that convinced me to buy a Chevy but I left mine stock.

If I left mine stock, I’d have no front end after a day heh.

I also did the delete on the diesel exhaust system, it’s silly. Then it’s just a straight five inch pipe and 525hp to the wheels. It sounds like a jet heh. With about 1,000 lbs of tools and a 400lb sled deck I will get 33mpg on the highway if I don’t stomp on it too hard all the time.

Ford and Dodge can’t touch that performance currently.

Tier 1 workers are paid wages of about $28 an hour, while Tier 2 workers earn between $15 and $19 an hour...They make a lot but not that much.

Actually, that doesn't sound all that far-fetched.

Of course it all depends on what they do.

New UAW workers make a whole lot less than their father's generation did.

Yup, I've got a buddy in my Guard unit that works at the GM plant in FW. He said they recently (several years ago) did the same thing, where he was still making good $$, but the new hires are coming in at much less. For the same jobs.

Fuel from coal like coal gasification. South Africa viewed it as a strategic thing. We’ve got tons of coal, and if can be done profitably.

The next great move that Trump will make is to kick start his energy independence program for America. Good jobs working 60hours/week.

And Mercedes are used for taxis in Europe. I don’t understand your objections.

I’ve been tooling and driving since the mid 70s. I was a motorhead (GM and Ford primarily.) My longstanding challenges involved body rot. It wasn’t until the 90s where it became obvious (to me) that Toyota began exporting more durable bodies where U.S. manufacturing lagged by a few years eventually leading to the Ford Taurus — that funny looking but reliable turtle-car that helped to define a positive manufacturing turning point.

Don’t get me wrong, U.S. auto manufacturing today is producing outstanding vehicles. And my next ride will likely be another Ford.
