“Mexican officials have to be really pissed. We are taking their jobs.”
About time for that little pinche idiota, Pena Nieto to get out his kneepads and make his way to the White House hat in hand.
Fiat Chrysler better learn to play THEIR cards right.
It’s a whole new ballgame now.
He will before it’s over. 40% to 50% tax on all payments going out of the USA to Mexico.
They’ll be begging very quickly. Starve the beast. End the fifth-column support.
If we can make Michigan a RED State, we'll never lose an Election again!
“Chryslers production workforce is 100% union. That is not something he can change.”
Chrysler could move the Mexico operation to a right-to-work state.....
More pressure on Stabenow to go along w/ the President Trump's Econ Plan or face the wrath of the voters in 18' ( IMHO she is beatable ).
Notice, OH is an Auto State as well as IN, especially supplier base. Is it me or am I not seeing it, but we haven't heard bumpkis out of Gov Kasich.
Some of these jobs might just go to OH.
Ram trucks - the best selling trucks made in Mexico...
If the Chicken Tax didn’t do this, not sure what Trump’s going to do...
“Fiat Chrysler Ready To Move Pickup Trucks From Mexico”
“What are the details of the incentives Chrysler is demanding?”
1)Ban F-150s
2)Ban Tundras
I like Toyota, it’s too bad they don’t make a heavy duty. That said, I’d never buy dodge, their transmissions go at 60,000 kms. They don’t stand up to Alberta oil field. My one ton duramax is kicking tail though.
Moving Chrysler back would be good, but as another poster said, the unions need to go.
Higher labor rates in the USA? So the cars made in Mexico have a sticker price reduction because of cheaper labor cost? Who knew?
President Trump needs to sigh an EO lifting the ban on oil production in Anwar, AK.
Exactly.
Under Tier 2, entry-level workers earn roughly half the wages and benefits of long-time auto workers for doing the same tasks as their higher-paid co-workers.
Veteran Tier 1 workers are paid wages of about $28 an hour, while Tier 2 workers earn between $15 and $19 an hour, depending on how long they have been with their companies. The Tier 2 pay scale was instituted at Detroit 3 factories in 2007, though it took root in supplier parts plants years before that.
They make a lot but not that much....
Even then they have a union contract.
Still not tired of winning!
I have 200,000 miles on my 2005 Ram 4x4. I have had no problems with the tranny or much of anything else outside of routine maintenance. I also have a 1998 Ram 4x4 with 100,000 miles on it. No tranny issues with that one either.
I’m talking the newer ones and in northern Alberta oil field. I also can’t stand the lag from when you step on the throttle, until the time it actually goes.
Then of course there’s the difference in ride heh.
Chevy 4x4 trucks have a comfortable ride and sit low enough to fit in garages. I love mine.
