Arty’s game is never called due to weather but rather reliably carries the mail through rain, sleet or snow.
Improvements in rounds make already amazing accuracy seem magical. On the downside to good news, arty still needs hardy observers on the ground in some proximity to the targets. Analogous to a sniper & spotter with a 155mm rifle.
Close air is more than wonderful. But once upon a time I found great comfort in having arty on-call and dialed in to our needs. Walked us out like a sheepdog shepherding it’s flock.
