My newspaper says that “human rights” is another politically correct propaganda term left over from the Carter administration.

Before the Washington Post informs its readers as to its ideas on what the job should be for the Secretary of State, it should clarify what it sees as its own job. Is it to report objectively on what is going on in the world, according to generally accepted journalist standards of sourcing and verification, or is it to sway public opinion to fit a Washington Post agenda?

According to NYTimes reporter Jim Rutenberg, in the age of Trump, previous standards of journalistic integrity and impartiality are now passé and should be dispensed with.

I would like to see something in writing from the Washington Post as to what it sees as its mission, so that its readers can hold them accountable and decide for themselves whether this is a news source they want to support.

Just because drug cartels engage in armed insurrection against their government doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be extended the same human rights the Wash Post has recognized for jihadi terrorists.

I live here in the Philippines, and other than liberal news outlets(go figure), I don’t see any of the citizens here giving a rats a$$ that the drug dealers are being killed.

Dear Editorial Board of the WaPo: You are wrong. The only ‘human rights’ the State Department is charged with is protecting American citizens abroad.

As WaPo would have it, instead of tending to America’s national interest, Tillerson is expected to be the world’s scold and moral pontificator.

Hmmm, seems like Mr. Tillerson has been on the job less than a week. What has Horseface Kerry done about it besides Be Concerned?

And the locals know who the dealers and users are. The Philippines has seen a massive increase in drug usage in the past 20-30 years. A large percentage of the “shabu”, (Methamphetamine), is smuggled into the Philippines from China either already in the end production stage or the components to make it. A lot of “dirty” cops are part of the numbers of the killed/murdered. Local radio talk shows here in Iloilo, (Panay Island), spend a lot of air time exposing the dealers and requesting help in locating them. Many politicians have become rich either closing their eyes to the cartels/dealers or are themselves involved in the drug trade.
