Well, the criminal mayor has been repeating daily for how many years now? He must be punished for past transgressions, and with impunity and malice.

Good heavens, I've never met anyone who thinks as much as a Liberal as you. Did history begin yesterday for you? You DO realize that this mayor was doing all this with impunity under Obama, right? He was doing it because Obama ALLOWED him to get away with it. There's a new President, and a new Administration. He won't get away with it anymore. If he does things right, he'll be REWARDED, and other mayors will see and follow suit (it's called MAKING AN EXAMPLE OF HIM). If he screws up, he'll be punished (it's called MAKING AN EXAMPLE OF HIM).
This is not for his benefit - it's to show the other mayors what will happen. You make an example of the one, and the others will follow suit.

I remember we used to think of Miami Beach as some amazing tropical paradise — the place of which beach dreams are made of.
Then it turned into some kind of Scarface-land crime-ridden barrio where you wouldn’t be caught dead after 6 p.m.
Maybe now it will be that type of place you might want to go to again to enjoy ...clean, beautiful and safe again.
