I heard on the radio recently that Mexico gives “immigrants” from Guatamela, etc. a three week visa so, technically, Mexico claims it treats immigrant well. Of course, if this is true, three weeks is just enough time to get from Mexico’s southern border to the USA where Uncle Sam will take over from there.

First time I’ve ever seen a Mexican skip work.

Except when word gets out that La Migra is prowling around, then, the whole contruction crew doesn’t show. I will bet that La Migra, with Trump’s new backing will be all over looking for the Unforgiven from now on.

The words “to discuss” are not in President Trump’s tweet. Those words would have made it possible for the Mexican President to come and save face. The tweet actually says “unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall.” That doesn’t leave much room for negotiation so I hope Trump didn’t really want the meeting to take place.

It would appear that he didn't. Hopefully his next tweet will clarify things.

If Mexico continues to refuse to meet with Trump or pay for the wall, those remittances going back to Mexico can be taxed (to the extreme), those obtaining the remittances can be fingerprinted and photo-ID’d, welfare, food stamps and free education and medical treatment can be cut off, and incoming products from Mexico can be stopped or taxed. Where does the Mexican president think he has a leg up, except to take advantage of America any and all ways he can? As for the sanctuary cities, when they get federal funds cut off, they may be singing a different tune.

A quick history lesson.

A lot of Californians, like me, took a lot of abuse gathering signatures for prop 187 which would have banned us giving benefits to illegals.

The reason we did that, we could see what had happened under the Clinton’s open borders regime.

Thousands of Illegals were flooding into California each day, demanding benefits, health care, housing and bi lingual school classes and ballots.

The money, we had saved with prop 13 was being taken away from us ro pay for the rats new voters, the financing of the illegals and paying for their lawyers when they committed crimes.

Proposition 187 was on the November 8, 1994 general election ballot in California as an initiated state statute, where it was approved. However, it has never been enforced. The goal of Proposition 187 was to make illegal aliens ineligible for public benefits.

The Clintoons flew lawyers and pr flaks out in number to stop Prop 187.

Bush Junior didn’t become President until 2001. So the Clintoons had 6 years to flood California with illegals before Bush Jr continued with the open flood gates. Many/most of who voted for Illiarily last November. The illegals knew they needed to pay back the Clintoons for keeping Prop 187 from being enacted. If it had become enacted, we would not be in this horrible mess here and across our nation.

There goes the cheap travel packages to Mexico.

Are there any amongst us that still go to Mexico on vacation? Apparently only the apolitical or amoral? Mejico has NEVER been on my must visit list.

Reagan started the trickle. The flood started under Clinton and I watched it transform a entire section of my city into little mexico by 1990. Also watched the line of illegals wrapping around the DMV building on my way to work every day.

Timeline:
1) Mexico President says in news report from LA (some liberal fakepaper) that Mexico wasn’t paying for wall in response to Trumps EO of building the wall

2) Trump tweets in response that if you don’t want to discuss paying for the wall, don’t bother coming to the meeting in DC on Jan 31.

3) Mexico President says not coming to meeting.

Then you haven't seen much. Thousands of those unscrupulous greedy employers who hire illegals find many of them can't get to work because their too drunk. Many have big alcohol issues.

On example of how out of control greed is, an illegal machine operator got so drunk at lunch in the back ally, he come back to his machine and pees all over the rubber mat and machine as all the other illegals laugh it up. Did they fire him? No. The illegal is sent home to sober up, and returns to work the next morning and by lunch had filed an injury claim against the employer.

There are millions of these cases and worse. And the employers deserve every bit of it.

“...Bull sh*t. Tens of millions entered during the disastrous corrupt Bush years, and during war time. The SOB did nothing encourage this epic violent invasion....”

Amen! 100% agree. FYI, I brought this up in a post under my old screen name way back when it was actually happening and was promptly got zotted off FR for doing so by some moderator (it wasn’t Jim). I feel somewhat vindicated over it now....took awhile...LOL.

I hear you. That would explain why Mr. Trump’s speech outlining the wall had no such harsh tone and pointed out the benefits to both countries in terms of controlling Central American migratory patterns.

We need Mexico for just about nothing. Considering the invasion of 20% of their population into US illegally, and I’d say our relationship with Mexico is a massive and serious detriment to the US.

I'm behind enemy lines. I know what happened. Every president including Reagan in the past decades aided and abetted this open border violent free for all.

Bush was blatant and probably the worse based on the fact he allowed our borders to become glaring national security nightmare during war, after 911. And then that SOB allowed in more Muslims AFTER 911 than the two decades prior to 911.

If CNN is upset about anything with Trump, it’s a good thing.

Don’t buy these people attempting to rewrite Bush’s history. It’s BS. He was totally an open borders president and the all party hacks went right along with it. Profits regardless of consequence$.
