When you need an oil change for your car, you don’t turn the bill in to your auto insurance carrier. People need some fiscal accountability for their health and an incentive to take care of themselves. The sad truth is that many Americans take better care of their cars than they care for themselves.
I kind of wish employers would be barred from offering medical insurance and give individuals the responsibility and control over insurance coverage. My employer doesn’t provide car insurance - what’s the difference.
