The building on the far right is the original Smithsonian building. The clock is in the tower.

Yes, the clock tower just to the south of the carousel. It might be one of the few things in DC that works right.

Clocks can lie but there are other things in the photo that cannot lie. Compare the streets and see the difference between the gigapixel and this photo used to create fake news. In the gigapixel the the street to the right is blocked by hundreds of police and portable fencing. In this photo the police and barracades are gone and vehicles are traveling the street. This fake news photo was taken well after the event and after President Trump had departed the area.
