If high speed rail from Houston to Dallas was viable, the private sector would build a high speed rail from Houston to Dallas.

BTW-How much would you expect a round trip ticket aboard Federal High Speed Rail would cost?

Seems like the price we saw was around $90 one way, or maybe slightly less. Think they would have to be able to compete with Southwest Airlines fare. Even if that is a little more, would be a lot easier to deal with going on the train rather than go through the hassle at the airport and likely take less time overall. Even when we flew everywhere, we always drove from Houston to Dallas because it was just less hassle and portal to portal didn’t take any more time.
