AFAIK, his mother had to submit an application for Canadian citizenship before he reached age 21.

Since they went back to Texas when he was a pre-schooler, she didn’t do so.

He was never a Canadian citizen, but to make it clear he submitted paperwork when he was a Prez candidate in the Primary race.
