I imagine those who attended the Trump speech (1000+ applied for under 400 spots) were disproportionately operators. I suspect the anti-Trump contingent are disproportionately lace-panty analysts and political appointees, an entirely different cohort within Langley. The media is not about reporting the news. It is about promoting causes (typically Leftist). And they have been fabulously successful. So what if their narratives fall apart? It isn’t like anyone is going report on it...
