Michelle Obama had no sense of personal style the entire time she was in the White House. If she had, she wouldn’t have worn so many weird things that did her no favors. There were a few occasions when she did look good and you could tell that the woman knew it and enjoyed the feeling. She just had no idea why.
Melania Trump has been a model and has even had a hand designing some of her own clothes prior to now. Her step daughter has her own clothing line. She’s very well traveled and has been married to a billionaire for over a decade, living in the very best part of Manhattan. Of course she has a personal style, is completely confident in her choices and knows without question what will both look good on her and be appropriate to the occasion.
Why all these news articles are attempting to claim otherwise for obviously political reasons is just too weird, but it’s been Emperor’s New Clothes weird regarding Michelle Obama from the very outset. They’re trying to make a fashion icon out of her but are only managing to make an even bigger spectacle out of the more comical misjudgments during her fashion reign of error, all of which were at the hands of that female designer who refused to work with Melania Trump, whatever her name was. I suspect the feeling is mutual, though. Can you even imagine Melania in one of those boob belt deals or the clown suit looking stuff? I can’t.
I so agree! If Michelle is "iconic" in any way it is how fashion designers, hair and makeup artists, photographers and Photoshop, along with lighting and staging can put out an attractive looking picture or magazine cover of an otherwise unattractive, unhappy woman. Take away all those helps and show a photograph or video of the "real" Michelle and one would have to be blind to miss the truth. I guess that could be iconic....sorta.
The FAWNING press did the Mooch NO favors.....they should have chided her a bit so she COULD look better.
