Well I recall you are from Arizona and now my LACK OF GEOGRAPHICAL insight is kicking in. People move TO there for the good weather? (calling LS?).

Obviously a significant mountain range is there (that I don’t know about) which gives altitude permitting this much snow.

need to study more

Stay safe my FRiend

Morning Dolly.

I live in the White Mountains at 7,000 ft. in the middle of the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world.

We are about 150 miles from Phoenix which we call the valley.

AZ has a lot more to it than desert, cactus and nice sunny days and lots of heat too.

You need to come visit, valley in winter, mountains in summer.

Well, the Mogollon Rim starts about 60 miles north of Phoenix. Not a single mountain but lots. We used to go to the White Mountains, to the east about 3 hours (NM border). There are lots of other mountains scattered all over the north and south. Most of the mountains where I am (San Tan, Camelback, Superstition) are impressive, but nothing like the Rockies.
