Here is a little more info about the Resolute desk, I had forgotten that Johnson sent it on tour after Kennedy was assassinated and Carter brought it back to WH from the Smithsonian.

I actually had never heard of the desk before seeing the movie National Treasure2. One of the clues was hidden in it & that piqued my interest to read more about it.
