I also like the idea of remittances on $$ being wired to MX.
Judging from the lines at the Western Union at my local supermarket, the $$ from TX alone would be mucho dinero.
It is a huge amount every day. There are many ways we can level the playing field with Mexico......
I like that idea, too and have thought it should be done for quite some time. I heard or read yesterday that someone said we shouldn’t do that b/c the “poor” workers here are saving money to send $50 or so to their “poor” relatives in Mexico. So, by taxing remittances we would be hitting the poorest people. Wonder if these “poor” illegals in the US are paying taxes, or if they are just taking advantage of free schools, free healthcare, perhaps EBT, etc., etc. Another person said if we would just not give the child credit to illegals, some of which don’t even have children in the US, we could go a long way in paying for the wall.
