I looked up the transcript of President Trump's speech last night and was surprised to see that it said "Overtalk" many times. When I watched it on TV, I do not recall any time when I did not understand what each man was saying. ABC must have wanted their interviewer to look less like the bully that he was and to diminish what THE President was saying. The interrogator (inquisitor?) did interrupt President Trump often which was very irritating.

I then did a web search and found an ABC interview soon after Obama was inaugurated. Not only was there not a single "overtalk" listed, it appears that the interviewer never once interrupted Obama while he was answering. All of his probably many uhs and ahs were not included. An assist by the network to change an answer where Obama said the opposite of what he meant was gently corrected in a paragraph inserted in italics.

I thought that President Trump was masterful last night despite the nasty tone and negative body language of the questioner.
